What is The FA Charter Standard Club Programme?
Eastbourne Borough Youth Football Club is proud be an FA Charter Standard Club. Read on to find out what this means to you.
The FA Charter Standard Clubs programme provides national recognition to those clubs who demonstrate :
- Required standards Raising standards
- Reaching excellence
There are three awards, each with their own targets and status, for which clubs can aim.
FA Charter Standard Clubs
Available for both youth and adult Clubs. Youth clubs must demonstrate;
- Management Child Protection Qualified coaches Codes of Conduct Insurance
- FA Charter Standard Development Clubs
Must have met criteria for charter standard club and must also have;
- At least 5 teams at four different age groups Football Development Plan
- FA Charter Standard Community Clubs
This award is the pinnacle of the Charter Standard programme. In addition to meeting all of the charter standard criteria above clubs need;
- 10 teams youth to adult Mini Soccer Boys and girls teams 3-5 years
- Football Development Plan
What are the benefits?
Clubs which receive the Charter Standard Award will be able to access a comprehensive benefits package which includes;
- Use of FA logo
- Promotional materials
- FA Child Protection and Best Practice - The Guide
- A Number of Footballs
- Tickets for England Youth & Women's Internationals
However, arguably the most important benefit is the recognition, from The Football Association, that the club provides a safe quality experience for its players.
